Delphi Signs Cadventure as Latest Training Provider for CAD/CAM Methodologies

Delphi Technologies lands third training provider as market adoption of its best practices CAD/CAM methodologies gains ground

TROY, Mich. -- Delphi Technologies, Inc., a subsidiary of Delphi Corp. (NYSE: DPH), has selected CADVenture to provide training and consulting for its patented CAD/CAM methodologies – Horizontal Modeling™ (HM) and Digital Process Design™ (DPD).

Delphi’s formal, structured methodologies reduce product and process design costs and increase productivity throughout the design-to-manufacturing cycle.

CADVenture markets a leading CAD/CAM platform - Solidworks along with training and consulting services to companies in Ohio and Pennsylvania.

“Horizontal Modeling and Digital Process Design have been proven to help increase efficiency while saving time and money and cutting the design-to-production cycle time,” said Timothy Forbes, director, new markets, commercialization and licensing for Delphi Corp. “Because of its expertise with Solidworks, CADVenture will help instruct a whole new set of designers on the HM-DPD process.”

Using HM, designers can produce higher quality 3-D CAD models with their existing CAD systems. Editing and changing data is easier and all the data is available and usable in downstream functions. DPD starts with horizontal models to rapidly create master process models and their associated process sheets. When combined, these methodologies enable greater concurrency between product and process design, shorter design-to-product cycles, increased productivity and greater innovation.

Delphi’s HM/DPD programs will be available from CADVenture beginning this month.

This latest news follows Delphi’s recent announcement of SCATE Technologies as a training provider and marks the third training provider (including Cadpo) to offer its best practices CAD/CAM methodologies.
